TRENTON, NJ - Governor Murphy has declared a State of Emergency beginning Sunday morning at 8:00 a.m. Executive Order No. 378 declares a State of Emergency across all 21 counties in New Jersey.
Total snow accumulations are forecasted to be 3-6” and 5-8" with the potential of up 10” depending on your location in portions of northern and northwest New Jersey, announced the Morris County Office of Emergency Management.
The MCOEM is anticipating that higher accumulations will be on the western side of Morris County with lower accumulations in the east. A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from Sunday morning until 1am on Monday, January 20.
Snow will begin Sunday morning around 10am and continue into the evening.
Residents are asked to NOT call 911 unless its a true emergency.
“We are expecting a winter storm bringing heavy snow, followed by dangerously low temperatures from Monday through Wednesday”, said Murphy.
